Free Family Fun Day: To Infinity and Beyond: Star Gazing 
September 13 from 8-10pm
Bring your blankets and curiosity to Mike Johnson’s Family Star Gazing Party on the Museum’s meadow.  Using four gigantic telescopes aimed at the deep sky, star gazers can take turns looking at the distant past.

Book Signing with MJSchaer
September 20 from 1-3pm
Napa Valley Museum invites you to meet the photographer Michael Schaer and get a personal signed copy of his book by nature. The book includes photographs from Schaer’s current exhibit at the Museum, featuring photographs of mountain vistas, landscapes, and native wildflowers from the Napa Valley and Lake Tahoe regions. Born from his passion for the outdoors, by nature showcases the beauty of nature in the Bay Area’s backyard. Exhibit runs through September 28. All photographs are for sale with a percentage of proceeds benefitting the Museum.

Oktoberfest & Car Show 
September 27 from 12-4pm
Get out your lederhosen for the inaugural Napa Valley Museum Oktoberfest & Car Show, a fundraiser for the Museum. The Car Show will feature classic, antique and sports cars, hot rods and motorcycles. Come enjoy traditional German Oktoberfest music, beer, pretzels, food and more.

Inherit: Latino Artists in California Opening Reception   
Friday, October 3 from 5-7pm
Members Only from 5-6pm/General Public from 6-7pm
Free for Members/$5 for Non Members
The exhibition features Latino Artists whose artwork portrays Latino culture, history and influence on American culture.

Mexican-American Wine Vintners Wine Tasting/Cata de Vinos
October 4 from 2-5pm
$20 per person
Celebrate Latino Heritage Month at Napa Valley Museum with a special wine tasting from the Mexican-American Vintners Association member wineries. Proceeds from the event benefit Napa Valley Museum and MAVA scholarship program. The tasting is presented in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Appetizers from Villa Corona will be available. Continuum: Opening Reception
October 9 from 5:30-7pm
Continuum presents the work of Napa Valley artists Nancy Willis, Sue Bradford, and Stephen Whisler at Napa Valley Museum’s Spotlight Gallery. In the 1970′s artist Robert Smithson created Spiral Jetty, an earthwork at the remote edge of the Great Salt Lake. Spiral Jetty is the inspiration for this exhibit.

Free Family Fun Day: Mini Ofrendas

Celebrate Dia De Los Muertos by creating your own personalized Ofrendas using small jewelry boxes, beads, pictures and cloth. Free Admission All Day.

Érase una vez: Bilingual Storytelling at Napa Valley Museum

Free Admission
Enjoy traditional Mexican and Latin American folktales from bilingual storytellers in celebration of Latino Heritage Month. Listeners of all ages will delight in hearing fabulous tales in both Spanish and English.
