October Family Fun Day
Dia de los Muertos (“Day of the Dead”) is a Mexican celebration which takes place on November 1st and 2nd. Families and friends remember and honor the departed with parades, food, altars, and decorations. In preparation for this celebration, join us in making a calavera (“skull”) mask, marigold flowers, and calaca (“skeleton”) marionette. The museum will provide direction and all materials for the activities.
