Eames & Eames will explore their iterative, hands-on, and human-centered approach. Through furniture, toys, paintings, graphics, and personal belongings collected over their lifetimes, this groundbreaking exhibition looks beyond the iconic Eames chairs to reveal the breadth of their creative practice. More than any single object, their work opened doors to new and unexpected ways of seeing, thinking, making, and understanding the world—ideas that continue to inspire us today.
The exhibition also offers an introduction to the Eames Institute and its vision for the world class museum it is currently building, a dynamic cultural space dedicated to sparking creative chain reactions, and asking, as Ray and Charles did, how we can make the world a better place, together.
