Thank you so much for your purchases on our website and in our Museum Stores, which benefit Napa Valley Museum’s nonprofit arts and education programs.

Product Purchases are generally not tax-deductible, because the value of what you received is equal to or in excess of what you paid. But you can feel good that you’ve supported arts and culture in our community and beyond! In those rare cases where a purchase of a product is deductible, it will clearly indicate this on the product listing page.

If you purchased a membership, made a donation or purchased a ticket to a fundraising event, a portion of your payment may be tax-deductible as a donation. Please read on to learn what portion may be deductible, but the ultimate decision should be between you and your tax advisor based on your individual considerations.

Donations:
Napa Valley Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization Tax ID 23-7140629, and donations may be fully tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Nothing of value was provided in return for your donation.  Please consult your tax advisor for definitive information.

Memberships:
Membership contributions in excess of $20 may be tax-deductible. 

Event Tickets:
Please visit the product page where you purchased the ticket, which will have information about the tax-deductible amounts, if applicable. In most cases, the value you received by attending the event exceeded the ticket price thanks to our many generous donors and sponsors who provided food, wine and other benefits to make these events special. In those cases, no portion of the event ticket is tax-deductible. This information is written on the event ticket listing page.

Tax Receipts:
The receipt you received when you purchased, either in person or online, can serve as your tax receipt. If you previously made a purchase, donation or joined as a member, you can retrieve past purchase receipts using your customer number. We can also print this out for you at the front desk, or email us for help at mac@napavalleymuseum.org.
