Eames "Hang-It-All" Playing Cards
Charles and Ray Eames brought playfulness to midcentury design, infusing everyday objects with unexpected joy. Our second edition of Eames Playing Cards celebrates their iconic Hang-It-All wall rack with a jubilant 1950s color palette.
The design pays homage to the stick-and-ball components of the original, translating that visual language into card form. We made a surprising discovery in the process: replacing traditional playing card symbols with numerals creates a more logical, visually cohesive deck. Inspired by Ray and Charles's rebellious spirit, we ditched convention and adopted a minimalist approach—no aristocracy, just pure design clarity.
A thoughtful gift for design enthusiasts and Eames admirers alike.
