We’re currently busy behind the scenes transforming our main gallery for an exciting new exhibition opening soon. While we prep the upstairs space, there is still plenty to see!
Step downstairs and explore The Underground at NVMY. Home to our permanent collection, this space features rotating exhibitions, educational programs, and special events that celebrate the rich art, culture, and history.
In the History Gallery: Works by Matisse, Pissarro, Picasso, Chagall and other fine artists on long-term loan to the Museum from The Global Academy for Inspirational Arts Foundation plus artwork, artifacts and objects from the Museum’s Permanent Collection.
The Museum’s Permanent Collection contains over 15,000 objects, artifacts and artworks evidencing the region’s culture, history and geology. Some of these objects are on permanent display in the Museum’s History Gallery exhibition: “Land & People of the Napa Valley,” but others are rarely seen. View a rotating sample of seldom-seen treasures selected from the Collections Department.
