This series of paintings emerged from the desire to incorporate recognizable subject matter, specifically the human figure, into my life-long practice of making abstract art.

Art gives them a means to capture and communicate their passions and emotions.
Reminiscent of ancient utilitarian shapes found among Greek, Roman and Turkish relics and Native American design, the focus is on a balance between classic antiquities and the ultra-modern.

From February 8 through March 15 the Museum hosted an exhibition of more than 50 works from one of the early innovators of rock-and-roll photography, renowned photographer Guy Webster.
The exhibition features original artwork by Miles Davis, on display at both Napa Valley Museum and Lincoln Theater, in addition to personal effects.
Napa Valley Collects, honoring the region’s private art collectors, is a three-month exhibition presented at the Napa Valley Museum, in partnership with Arts Council Napa Valley and Visit Napa Valley. The exhibition includes significant works from outstanding art collections throughout the Napa Valley, including artists such as Joan Brown, Andy Warhol and Edouard Manet
Thinking Outside the Bottle, explored the multi-talented people behind our region’s celebrated wine. Rarely relegating themselves to one creative outlet, these winemakers, viticulturalists and winery owners are also painters, ceramicists and sculptors. The exhibition offered an exploration of the artistic passions of the people behind the wine.
Guests explored The Wonderful World of LEGO®, on view from December 7 through 29. Models, MOCs and LEGO® artwork of all kinds were on display, highlighting the wealth of creativity that starts with a single brick and a lot of imagination.
